ABOUT THE TRIP

What is this trip about?
Fun, adventure, romance, entertainment and shopping.

What does each package include?
Everything you need for a perfect trip. Click here for details.

How do I sign up?

When is the sign-up deadline?
This trip continues to be ranked by students, parents and industry experts as one of the finest college spring break programs in existence. As a result, the trip really does sell out. Although we increase our capacity each year, space is limited. We recommend that you sign up as early as possible. A $100 non-refundable deposit guarantees your space until the final payment is due (60 days prior to trip departure).

My friends are flakes. Can this wait?
Although many students wait until the last minute to do just about everything, large groups of friends and organizations tend to make plans for Spring Break well in advance --before the Holiday break. So rally your friends now. Otherwise the best trips (like ours) and destinations (like Cabo) will be sold out and you'll be stuck with a second-class trip with a second-class spring break company to a second-class location.

What benefits will I receive with the Trip wristband?
When you arrive you will be given our Trip wristband. We use our significant relationships with the owners of the most popular bars, clubs, restaurants and activity providers to get you the best deals in town when you show your Trip wristband. We negotiate these deals carefully to make sure you receive discounts on the things our Trip participants most frequently buy -not just a bunch of random deals available to anyone.

Your trip wristband will also identify you as a member of our elite group that will receive special attention in the unlikely event that a problem was to arise. The hospitals, local police, U.S. Consulate and our local attorney are each given a sample of our Trip wristband, a list of the names of our participants, and specific instructions to contact our senior staff members immediately on their Mexican cellular phones if any participant becomes sick, injured or jailed. In addition, we have dozens of "spotters" who work in the hotels, bars and restaurants who also keep a watchful eye on those wearing our Trip wristbands. They are not there to chaperone, but to assist you should you become lost, disoriented or sick. >> more

What is the Party Passport and $250 in free stuff?
In addition to the numerous discounts and specials we have arranged for you by showing your Trip wristband, the Party Passport contains certificates for over $250 in FREE DRINKS at the most popular bars and clubs in Cabo. >> more

What are the hotels like?
We use only reputable, clean and safe hotels that are the most ideal for Spring Breakers. Most hotels are walking distance to the hottest bars, clubs and restaurants and are a few minutes from the beach. Click here for descriptions and photos of the hotels. Click here for descriptions, photos and locations of our hotels.

What is the sleeping situation?
When you sign-up for the Trip you will be asked to select the type of room you would like:

A Quad occupancy room has two queen or full beds and is shared by you and the three participating roommates you select.

A Triple occupancy room has either two queen or full beds, or one queen or full bed and a twin or equivalent, and is shared by you and the two participating roommates you select.

A Double occupancy room has either one king or queen bed, or two full or twin beds, and is shared by you and the one participating roommate you select.

Is there a security deposit for the hotel room?
Upon hotel check-in, each room (between you and your roommates) must leave one credit card imprint or a security deposit of $100 with the hotel. This will be used in the unlikely event that you and/or your roommates decide to play baseball with the light fixtures or some other socially deviant and damaging activity. If you choose, this imprint/deposit may also be used to charge food/beverage or services to your room.

What are the flights like?
We use only reliable commercial airlines such as Continental, Alaska, American, Delta and others for our packages -no charter flights. The flights are either non-stop or one-stop, and are labeled as such on the Sign-Up page. Those flights that are one-stop have only short layovers that allow you enough time to get to your next gate without cutting into your valuable vacation time. If more than one flight exists for the package you selected, you may choose your actual flights during the sign-up process. You will be able to view current flight times when you sign up. In addition, we will send you a detailed travel itinerary including your electronic ticket information at least 14 days prior to your departure.

What are the U.S. & Mexican departure taxes?
Cabo Spring Break collects these taxes on behalf of the airlines. The taxes are set by the U.S. and Mexican government lawmakers and include special airport security, September 11 and other fees. These taxes are clearly marked on the Sign-Up page and vary slightly depending upon the departure city you select

USC only: Can I pay for my trip at the USC Ticket Office?
Yes. However, you must first sign up using a paper reservation form available at the Ticket Office. USC students who would like to pay for their FINAL PAYMENT (the big one) on campus at the USC Ticket Office (using Discretionary or major credit card, etc) must write "USC TICKET OFFICE" in the upper left corner of their reservation form. Once we have received your reservation and $100 deposit, you will be notified by email with instructions on when to go to the Ticket Office to make your payment.

ABOUT CABO

Is English spoken in Cabo?
Most people you will encounter during your trip speak English. The local people are very friendly and will help you learn as you go. Many of our staff speak fluent Spanish and English and can assist you if you have any difficulty.

Is the water and food safe?
Cabo does not have the sanitation problems some other Mexican towns have. Water and ice served at restaurants and bars listed on our itinerary are purified and safe to drink. You can brush your teeth with the water from the tap in our hotels. However drinking bottled water, which is available everywhere, is advised. There are many excellent restaurants in Cabo, as well as many good dollar taco stands. You will not likely have any problems with the food or water in Cabo unless you eat something that is still moving or has something moving in it. However, if you consume larger quantities of alcohol than in your normal daily diet, you may inadvertently blame how you feel afterwards on the food or water.

How do I pay for things in Cabo?
The US Dollar is accepted everywhere in Cabo, but the Mexican currency is the Peso. You can use either. The current exchange rate is approximately 11 Pesos per US Dollar. Most businesses accept major credit cards, and there are a number of ATMs conveniently located in town, including one in the lobby of the Tesoro Los Cabos hotel.

What should I bring?
Click here for a list of suggested items to pack.

What if I require medical attention in Cabo?
Travel Insurance is available that provides medical services and emergency evacuation. Click here for more information.

We have relationships with reputable doctors who speak English. There are tourist air ambulance services based in California and Texas as well as a new AmeriMed American Hospital, among others.

AmeriMed is a network of medical facilities in Mexico that provide full medical services based upon U.S. standards of health care. Their hospital in Cabo offers a full range of emergency and routine services. The facilities are staffed 24 hours a day with bilingual, in-house physicians who are specialists in emergency medicine. Their nurses provide total quality care, supported by the latest in technology. The facility features modern equipment for X-ray, EKG, pulse oximetry, cardiac resuscitation, defibrillation, ultrasound, operating room with operating microscope and complete laboratory services. The hospital also offers a 24-hour pharmacy.

Please notify us by email before your departure if you have any serious pre-existing medical condition. We will keep your condition in the strictest of confidence, sharing it only with our senior staff and medical advisors.

Do I need a Passport to travel to Cabo?
Yes. Beginning January 23, 2007 all U.S. Citizens who travel by air to or from Mexico will be required to present a valid U.S. Passport in order to leave and re-enter the country.

How do I get a Passport?
United States citizens can visit the State Department's travel website www.travel.state.gov, or call the U.S. National Passport Information Center: 1-877-4USA-PPT.

You should allow yourself a sufficient amount of time to apply and receive your passport in advance of travel. Please allow 6 weeks for processing of your passport application if you apply from inside the U.S. If you need to travel urgently and require a passport sooner, please visit www.travel.state.gov for additional information. Overseas passport processing times vary; you should contact the closest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for specific information.

Peak domestic passport processing is between January and July. For faster service, we recommend applying between August and December.

Foreign nationals should contact their respective governments to obtain passports.
